Printhead Carriage Homing Sensor for L1800, R1390 - Customizable ON/OFF Signals
$19.99 $29.99
Enhance your printer automation with the L1800, R1390 Printhead Carriage Homing Sensor. This device functions as a switch to detect whether the printhead carriage is parked in the home position (on the capping station), providing seamless control over auxiliary printer functions like vacuum platforms. The sensor functions as a mechanical switch, cutting power to connected devices when the printhead is parked and activating them when printing begins. T
Wiring and Connectors
- Black Wire: Connected to the common terminal of the switch. This wire is fixed and must not be removed or modified.
-
Red Wire: By default, connected to the normally OFF connector.
- When the printhead is parked, the red wire is OFF
- When the printhead leaves the parked position to begin printing, the red wire turns ON.
- Open Connector: A reserved connector provides additional customization options. Customers can use it to add another wire for driving multiple devices or setting up custom configurations.
Customizable Options
If you require the sensor to signal ON when parked, the reserved connector allows you to move the red wire for a quick and easy modification.
For controlling multiple devices with differing requirements (e.g., some ON and others OFF when parked), you can utilize the open connector to add additional wiring for versatile functionality.
Package Includes
1x Homing Sensor (default configuration: OFF when parked)
2x Shrink Tubes for easy wire installation
This sensor is an excellent addition to printers equipped with vacuum platforms and other auxiliary systems. Its intuitive, flexible, and customizable design makes it an ideal choice for enhancing your printing setup.

Transistor Pair C6144 (2SC6144) and A2222 (2SA2222) for Epson EcoTank & WorkForce WF-2630

The main board works again! Prior to purchasing the main board, my Epson WF-3640 would give the 0x9a error code, which I deduced was due to a short-circuited clogged printhead, that blew out the fuse on the main board. Disassembling the printer, I had checked the main board fuse with a multimeter and sure enough, it was blown. So, I chose to buy a main board from BCH, as I was sure I could not fix the fuse itself. I also bought some new cables for the print head/main board as one of them looked burnt where it was inserted in the print head. I purchased a used printhead elsewhere, though, as BCH didn't seem to have one in stock. After installation, the printer worked again, though the used printhead--again purchased elsewhere--was clogged. I can't blame that on BCH, which is why I stress that I purchased the printhead elsewhere. Nevertheless, everything from BCH worked perfectly. It may work too perfectly, for when I initially powered up the unit without ink cartridges, I didn't get any error message saying to install cartridges. I don't know why that is. It could be just the way the WF-3640 works and I had never noticed it before, but once everything was installed, it merely said the nozzle and/or printhead was clogged and asked me to run a cleaning. All in all, I am very satisfied and would purchase from BCH again should I have the need to do so. Lastly, the YouTube videos and BCH website instructions were spot on! I had initially wired back the mainboard incorrectly but I re-watched the video and found my error before I powered up the unit. My only regret is that I accidentally may have left the "Anonymous Anonymous" review below without adding text, which I have remedied with this comment.
