BCH Scanner Adapter - Scanner & LCD FFC Cable Repair & Protection Adapter Kit for Epson ET-8550 / ET-8500

Protect your original scanner cables and make future cable replacement easier and less expensive.

The Epson ET-8550 and ET-8500 scanner assembly uses three flat flexible cables (FFCs). Two have a delicate 0.5 mm pitch, making them especially vulnerable to damage during removal and reinsertion.

This BCH adapter kit provides an intermediate connection between the original scanner cables and the mainboard. Secure the original cables in the adapter, then use the included short replacement cables to connect to the mainboard. During future service, disconnect the short cables while leaving the original scanner cable connections undisturbed.

Two Ways to Use It

• Prevent damage: Secure undamaged original scanner cables in the adapter to reduce wear from repeated handling.

• Support a cable repair: Once a damaged original cable has been properly repaired, secure its repaired end in the adapter and leave that connection in place.

Replace the Short Cable—Protect the Original

If a short connecting cable becomes damaged, replace that inexpensive cable instead of repeatedly handling or repairing the original scanner cable. Ideal for printers that require frequent disassembly, maintenance, or modification.

Installation Note

The adapter does not restore broken conductors or make an electrically damaged cable functional by itself. Original cables must be undamaged or properly repaired before installation. Disconnect printer power before working on cables, and verify cable orientation and alignment before powering on.
