Fixing the Blinking Lights & Fatal Error on Your Epson Artisan 1430 Printer

Question:
I’ve got an odd situation with my Epson Artisan 1430. Over the years, I’ve had to reset it twice, and I also installed an external ink tank to bypass the waste pad, so I know the printer itself is pretty clean. Recently, I’ve been needing to reset it again, but this time the printer’s lights won’t stop blinking, and the software is showing a fatal error. I’ve already tried a reset, but it didn’t work, and the blinking lights persist. Does this sound familiar to you? I’d appreciate any advice on how to handle this! Thanks for your help!
Answer:
As for your Artisan 1430, the flashing LED lights mean nothing if the pattern is undefined. If you’re experiencing two lights blinking back and forth, it usually indicates that the waste pad should reset. In such cases, you can press OK/print paper button, and as long as the printer allows you to print a few more pages, you can say the reset process has begun successfully and you can still rely on the printer for temporary usage. However, if the lights blink in unison (both solid), that signifies a fatal error, which will require a deeper reset.
To attach to a fatal error, you will need the so-called Adjustment Program. With this software you will be able to read the particular-error codes, and be guided to reset your printer and correct the fatal error. This program can be found on sites like eBay, giving you a number of vendors to choose from to purchase the program for a fair price. Once you’ve acquired the software, it will enable you to reset printer waste pad counter as well as any errors that are blocking the printer operation.
