Question:
I am using your video to clean the print head of my Epson WP-4540, and at the 5:18 mark, I see you're taking off the front door, but the video doesn't show how to remove it on the left-hand side. It goes too low to camera — and we're stuck. And we've removed screws from the cartridge compartment and the right-hand side, but we aren't sure how to get the right side off now that we can lift the door. Can you help us?
Answer:
Many thanks for clicking on the video and asking such a thorough question! Apologies for the slightly obnoxious camera angle during that video segment; thank you for your patience. After removing the screws from the cartridge compartment (and the one on the right-hand side), the next task for removing the front door on the Epson WP-4540 was to find a small plastic latch or tab along the left side of the door. This latch needs to be pressed or pried gently most often. Use a thin flathead screwdriver (a plastic spudger will be less damaging to the plastic) to push the latch inward gently. After applying light pressure, you can lift the front door gently. It's somewhat awkward, so you might need to jiggle it while pushing the latch down. And be sure to look for hidden clips that might hold the bottom of the door in place at the seams.

This makes troubleshooting printer issues complex since the problems tend to be hands-on. We recommend bringing it into our diagnostic center for an in-person eval and repair, as we won't be troubleshooting or repairing remotely. Find out more information on this service here: https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service. Due to the extremely high demand, we operate on a first-come-first-served basis for our repair services, so it may take a couple of weeks to drop off your printer. We help you understand what to do next, whether you need a complete printer or replacement part repair. We always recommend using self-help sites online, even though our rates might not be the lowest. We have a wide variety of video categories on our YouTube channel, and you can get more information by searching the videos on the search bar beside the About section on our page: https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies. I get asked daily about specific topics from individual videos, so it's easier to search through YouTube for the video that suits your needs. You will also find some helpful videos from other creators. Again, thank you for your question and for supporting our channel!
