The F1 fuse on an Epson L1800 mainboard is a surface-mount component. An open fuse can interrupt a circuit, but blank pages by themselves do not prove that F1 is faulty. A damaged printhead, cable, connector, or driver circuit can also cause blank output. If the fuse has opened, the underlying fault should be found before a replacement is installed; otherwise the new fuse may open again or further damage may occur.
