Question:
Thank you for your informative video! Unfortunately, I have an Epson ET-4550, and the rear of the printer doesn’t seem to match what you demonstrated. Could you provide instructions on how to remove the sponges for the ET-4550?
Answer:
Cheers for your informative video! However, I had no luck based on the modified Epson ET-4550 printer since the back of the printer appears to be different from the practice you showed. How do you physically remove the sponges for ET-4550?
So far, we have yet to see much difference between the ET-4550 and the ET-4500 regarding sponge removal or waste ink pad configuration. That said, you are correct. There could be variations for the same model. Inkchip. Net posts ET-4550 as a compatible model, so we expect similar compatibility and procedures. Of course, we haven’t observed a ET-4550 ourselves to verify this. We’ll film this process on this model with step-by-step instructions when that time comes. Printer-related problems can result — and often do result — in a more hands-on approach to resolving the issue. Therefore, we cannot assist with remote troubleshooting, making recommendations, or repairing the printer. If you want to ship your device to us, we can diagnose it using our in-house diagnostic repair workstation.
Given our high demand, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis for evaluating and repairing devices (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service). So it could be a couple of weeks before we can get your printer to leave it off. With a well-defined approach to how services need to be deployed, we either repair an entire printer or just the parts. But we know our rates are not the cheapest ones. Therefore, we recommend you do some online research for self-help.
