Strong resistance while flushing a printhead is a reason to stop, not to push harder. Excessive pressure can damage delicate internal channels, seals, or the printhead itself. First clarify where the resistance occurs: the proposed steps apply to a cleaning syringe connected to a printhead ink inlet, not to filling an ink tank.
With the printer switched off and unplugged, check that the cleaning tube is not kinked and that the adapter fits the correct printhead inlet. Use only a cleaner intended for Epson-compatible printheads, and confirm that the liquid and adapter are appropriate for the printer. Allow cleaner to soak rather than applying force. Do not use compressed air or a high-pressure syringe. Keep liquid away from the electronics and ribbon-cable contacts; moisture in those areas can cause electrical damage.
