Question:
If I buy an Epson ET-2800 and the tube rail for a 4ColorDTF conversion, which ink and DTF powder should I buy from BCH? Should I use ordinary printer ink or sublimation ink?
Answer:
Thank you for contacting BCH Technologies, and I'm sorry for the delayed reply. Choosing materials before a printer conversion is urgent because filling the wrong ink can be difficult to undo, and we want to give you a careful, detailed answer. Thank you for supporting BCH and our YouTube channel.
For a supported ET-2800 4ColorDTF conversion, use DTF ink, DTF transfer film, and DTF adhesive powder. Do not use ordinary document ink or sublimation ink as substitutes. BCH's four-channel setup uses white, cyan, magenta, and yellow DTF inks: the channel normally used for black is reassigned to white, while the RIP builds dark image areas from cyan, magenta, and yellow. That composite black may look less neutral than a printer with a dedicated black channel. The exact regional ET-2800 model and kit version still need confirmation before you order; the video's broad four-color method does not by itself establish compatibility for every variant.
A practical shopping list is the matching 4ColorDTF white/cyan/magenta/yellow ink set, DTF film suited to your printer and workflow, compatible DTF hot-melt adhesive powder, a safe way to cure the powder, and a heat press for the final transfer. The tube rail is only one part of the conversion. Confirm the supported software/profile, channel routing, waste-ink arrangement, and any white-ink circulation or maintenance parts with BCH for your exact printer and kit before filling a tank. Ask BCH to check the product list against the regional model printed on your machine.
Keep ink types separate. Mixing DTF, document, and sublimation inks can contaminate tanks and lines or clog the printhead; do not pour DTF ink into an unconverted ET-2800. Follow the kit's priming steps and its white-ink agitation or circulation schedule, since white pigment settles. Use ventilation and the product's safety directions when applying and curing powder. If the printer already contains another ink type, or the tube routing and software profile are uncertain, have a conversion technician assess it before purchasing parts or attempting to flush the system. A printhead or board-level repair should only be considered after a fault is diagnosed, not as a routine conversion purchase.
You can search the BCH Technologies YouTube channel [https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies] for ET-2800, 4ColorDTF, tube-rail installation, and white-ink maintenance. BCH's repair or conversion service can help match the correct materials and diagnose an ink-flow problem if one appears after setup.
