I have an Epson ET-15000 printer and want to set it up with an external waste ink tank. I’ve noticed there are 25 mm and 40 mm versions available. Which one should I use?

Thank you so much for reaching out to us! I'm sorry I wasn’t able to respond sooner. I understand how urgent printer issues can be, and I appreciate your patience. I always strive to give each question the time and attention it deserves. At BCH Technologies, we’re grateful for your engagement and support—especially with our YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Your questions help us continue growing our knowledge base and creating better content that serves the community.
Now, to your question about the Epson ET-15000 and external waste ink tanks:
The 25 mm and 40 mm waste ink tank kits you refer to are compatible with your ET-15000. However, there’s a bit of confusion with the measurements due to product listing limitations. Here’s how it works:
Your ET-15000 uses a 2.5 mm output tube. While our website might list the kits as "25 mm" or "40 mm" for product categorization purposes, it refers to 2.5 mm and 4.0 mm tube diameters.

The 2.5 mm Kit is a direct fit for your printer. This waste tank kit includes a dual connector to match your Epson’s 2.5 mm output. You can find that product here:

The 4.0 mm Kit also includes a dual connector that supports both 2.5 mm and 4.0 mm tubes, so it can still work if you already have tubing or setup parts from a previous model. Here’s the link to that version:

Now, regarding resetting the waste ink counter—this part is crucial. The external tank itself is just a physical container and does not electronically reset your printer’s internal waste ink counter.
For that, you'll need software tools such as Inkchip.net WIC (https://inkchip.net/wic) or WICReset. We generally recommend Inkchip for most users because it's intuitive and relatively affordable.
⚠️ Important note: Some printers come with a waste tank chip that requires a physical resetter. If your ET-15000 has such a chip, the software-based reset won’t work. In that case, identify the tank model and look for a compatible hardware resetter specifically made for that model.
Addressing printer issues can be a complicated affair due to the hands-on nature of the problems. So, we're not able to provide remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or support for printer repairs. We offer an in-person evaluation and repair service via our local diagnostic facility (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service). Given the high demand, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. So, it might take a few weeks before we can get your printer to drop it off. Our services are structured to repair either a whole printer or specific parts, with clear instructions on how to proceed. However, we acknowledge that our rates aren't the most economical. Thus, we highly recommend that you resort to self-help via online research. You can start by checking out YouTube or visiting our YouTube channel's homepage (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Look for specific videos using the search icon next to "About" on the right-hand side of the menu bar. I receive dozens of queries every day asking about videos for specific topics. Having created videos over the past nine years, it's challenging to remember every single one. Therefore, using YouTube's search function would be most efficient. Plus, YouTube might suggest relevant videos from other channels that could assist you.
Thanks again for reaching out—we truly appreciate your support and trust in BCH Technologies. We’re always here to help however we can!
