Guide To Refill HP 910 XL Ink Cartridges Using Plugs And Drilling

Question: I watched a video by Kevin on various HP cartridges, but I couldn't find any plugs listed on the website for the HP 910 XL cartridge. I prefer a DIY solution to avoid the high cost of HP ink cartridges. Can duct tape be used instead of plugs?

Correct plugs and tools are essential when refilling HP 910 XL ink cartridges to avoid issues. As easy as it would be to whip out duct tape, I would not recommend it. The seal from duct tape may not be reliable, allowing leakage or air bubbles, ruining the cartridge, and potentially causing printing issues.

This approach would be more precise and effective:
Drill Size and Tool: First, you must drill a hole in the cartridge to make space for refill and the plug. The hole size depends on the type (and size) of plugs you are using. For HP 910 XL, the drill bit I recommend is from 3mm to 4mm. From BCH Technologies, a standard drill tool like this will work perfectly to make the hole: Hand Drill for Standard 3mm to 4mm CIS Plugs or Sleeves (https://bchtechnologies.com/products/hand-drill-for-standard- 3mm-to-4mm-cis-plugs-or-sleeves?_pos=3&_sid=4c75f4422&_ss=r)
The proper plug size: Once you have the hole you need, you'll also have the hole you'll need the correct plug for. You can use a 4 mm L-shaped silicone plug for the HP 910 XL cartridge, as the plug would fit inside the hole perfectly and seal it up well during refilling. Here are some plugs: 4 Color 4mm L Silicone Plugs for Ink Refill (HP 88, 564, 920, 940, 950, 932 XL) (https://bchtechnologies.com/products/4-color-4-mm-l-silicone-plugs-for-ink-refill-hp-88-564-920-940-950-932-xl-4-pcs?_pos=2&_sid=05827ae75&_ss=r)
Drilling the exact-size hole and fitting the appropriate-size plugs will prevent leaks and seal the cartridge properly for the refill process. This will save you ink while keeping your printer operating as it should.
It's important to consider that Refilling cartridges is hands-on and requires care. Improper cartridge handling and improper sealing can lead to leaks or failure to print. Beware of Reality You are taking from data up to October 2023

Printer issues can be a bit of a headache to address, though, because they tend to manifest themselves in physical ways. So, we can't help with printer troubleshooting, advice, or repairs remotely. Our local diagnostic facility (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service) (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service) supports an in-person evaluation and repair service for those needing urgent help. Due to the high demand, we are first-come, first-served. In other words, it could take a couple of weeks to get your printer to drop it off. Our services include fixing a complete printer or a specific part, along with the following guidelines. We do, however, recognize that our rates are not the cheapest. So, we strongly suggest that you help yourself by researching online. You may start with YouTube or our channel's homepage (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies) (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies) or on any video through the search icon beside the "About" on the floating menu bar on the right-hand side. Every day, I get a barrage of questions about videos on this or that topic. After nine years of making videos, it’s hard to recall them all. So, the best would be to use the YouTube search function. Plus, YouTube could surface relevant videos from other channels that may help.
Thanks again for your question and for your continued support and engagement. Please get in touch if you need any further assistance.
