Question
Hello, I purchased an Epson L1800 DTF Printer, and I am having an issue with the ink not printing at all with no error lights. I have replaced the ink lines, dampers, and I even bought a new motherboard and printhead. After watching your video, I think the F1 fuse might be out. Could it be possible to have it repaired? Is it worth repairing, or should I just replace the motherboard?

Regarding your Epson L1800 DTF printer issue, you have made a good call by considering the F1 fuse. This is often a common culprit when printers fail to print without showing error lights. Here are a few steps to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
- Check the F1 Fuse: The F1 fuse is a critical component, and if it is blown, it can prevent the printer from operating correctly. If you find that the F1 fuse is indeed the issue, you can replace it yourself. We offer the replacement fuse for DIY repairs here: F1 F2 Fuse for Epson L1800 DTG DTF Printer (https://bchtechnologies.com/f1-f2-fuse-for-epson-l1800-dtg-dtf-printer/).
- Inspect the Capping Station: If the F1 fuse is intact, the next component to check is the capping station. A malfunctioning capping station can also lead to printing issues. You can refer to our video for detailed instructions on how to inspect and troubleshoot the capping station: Capping Station Troubleshooting (https://youtu.be/RVtQLe2wTsk).
- Evaluate the Printhead Source: The quality of the printhead can significantly impact your printer's performance. If you purchased a printhead from less reliable sources such as Amazon or Walmart, it might be worth considering a replacement from a more reputable supplier.
- Consider Professional Repair: If you narrow down the problem to the fuse or another component and prefer professional assistance, we can help. We offer a fast-track mainboard repair service, where we can diagnose and fix issues, including checking the printing driver IC chip and other sophisticated diagnostics. Addressing printer issues can be a complicated affair due to the hands-on nature of the problems. Therefore, we are not able to provide remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or support for printer repairs. We offer an in-person evaluation and repair service via our local diagnostic facility BCH Technologies Printer Repair Service (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service). Given the high demand, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so it might take a few weeks before we can get to your printer if you decide to drop it off or mail it to us. Our services are structured to repair either the whole printer or specific parts, with clear instructions on how to proceed if you opt for mail-in or local drop-off services.
However, we acknowledge that our rates might not be the most economical. Therefore, we highly recommend resorting to self-help via online research. You can start by checking out YouTube or visiting our YouTube channel's homepage (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Look for specific videos using the search icon next to "About" on the right-hand side of the menu bar. I receive dozens of queries daily asking about videos for specific topics. Having created videos over the past nine years, it is challenging to remember every single one. Therefore, using YouTube's search function would be the most efficient. Plus, YouTube might suggest relevant videos from other channels that could assist you.
Thank you once again for reaching out to us. We appreciate your support and hope this information helps resolve your printer issue.
