The printhead cable cover in the product link you provided is compatible only with the Epson XP-15000. While the XP-15000 and ET-8550 printers may look somewhat similar externally—both are A3+ photo-capable printers—their internal layouts and printhead assemblies are different, especially regarding the printhead cable connector orientation and size.

It’s easy to get confused, especially since the XP-15000 is sometimes mentioned in the same breath as the XP-8500. However, please note:

• XP-8500 and XP-15000 belong to the same XP family, which uses cartridges (no built-in ink tanks).

• The ET-8500 and ET-8550 are part of Epson's EcoTank series (ET), which have large refillable ink tanks and are incompatible with accessories made for XP models, even if the model numbers sound similar.

What to Use for the ET-8550
