Is BCH Refill Ink Compatible with PG-545 and PG-546 Canon Cartridges?

Question:

My cartridges are Canon PG-545 and PG-546. Will BCH’s Standard 600 mL 4-Color Refill Ink work on these cartridges? Will it work properly?

Answer:

Yes, ou,r ink works with PG-545 and PG-546 cartridges but only if your cartridges ar,e refillable, and you follow the correct prcedure on the refill. But werefill procedure. However, weinks are created. not condition inks to fit specific cartridge models. Our refill inks, by contrast, are formulated for compatibility across an entire printer brand’s dye or pigment ink system — in our case, Canon’s.

Compatible with Canon, this Standard 600 mL 4-Color Refill Ink can be used in most Canon printers that utilize dye-based ink systems. PG-545 (black) and PG-546 (color) are popular cartridge types used in Canon Pixma: MG2450, MG2550, TS3150, and TS3350 models. If you’re refilling these cartridges, our ink is compatible with Canon’s color profile and flow rate.

Below are tips for the best experience:

Use refillable cartridges whenever possible. However, many Canon cartridges are not refill-friendly, meaning you’ll need to modify their designs or get aftermarket refillable variants.

The PG-545 is a pigment-based black, the PG-546 a dye-based tri-color cartridge. Use pigment ink for black and dye ink for color. Working with our 4-color dye ink set will only profit the color cartridge (PG-546) black.

If the PG-545 uses pigment ink, you'll want to search for a Canon-compatible pigment, black ink.

Fill it using a syringe and drill or refill tool kit. After filling, reset or bypass the cartridge chip monitoring system if you get “low ink” warnings in your printer (after filling).

Go to our main website (https://bchtechnologies.com), hover over “Ink for Printers,” choose your ink type (dye or pigment), and then choose your ink volume to ensure you get the right type and amount of ink. This section is meant to help you find the best refill products for your setup.

Printer errors can be tricky to deal with. So, we cannot provide remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or printer repair support. We also have an on-site evaluation and repair service through our local diagnostic center (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service). Because of the high demand, all orders are subject to a first come, first serve basis. That means it may be a few weeks before we can have your printer drop it off. We principally provide instructions on recovering from whole or specific parts printer repair. But, we recognize that our rates are not the cheapest. Therefore, we strongly advise you to resort to self-help through online research. As always, you can explore YouTube or our YouTube channel homepage (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies), then specific videos (Search icon to the right of "About" on the menu bar). I get dozens of messages daily asking if there are videos on specific topics. After making videos for the last nine years, it’s hard to remember every last one. So, it would be best to utilize the search function from YouTube itself. Plus, YouTube may recommend relevant videos from other channels that may be helpful.

Once again, thanks for reaching out. Thank you for your question and your interest in BCH Technologies products!
