Is BCH Ink Compatible with Epson ET-3850 Using T502 Ink Bottles?

Question:
I recently purchased a set of BCH ink (model US/T2730.2-200) but could not return it to Amazon due to a missed deadline after my Canon printer failed. I’ve now switched to an Epson EcoTank ET-3850, which uses the T502 ink set. I’ve noticed that refillable canisters or bottles exist for these printers. Is your BCH ink compatible with my new Epson printer?

Answer:
Yes, BCH dye-based ink (model US/T2730.2-200) is fully compatible with the Epson ET-3850 EcoTank printer, which uses Epson T502 ink bottles. While the Epson ink comes in specially keyed bottles to match the fill ports on EcoTank models, it is safe to pour BCH ink into an empty OEM Epson T502 bottle and refill your printer.

It’s important to note that T502 is a dye-based ink set. BCH US/T2730.2-200 is also a dye-based formulation, so it matches the chemical characteristics required by the Epson ET-3850 printhead. This ensures color fidelity and prevents clogging issues. JTo avoid cross-contamination,make sure the bottles you’re using are clean and free from other residues

To refill:

  1. Rinse the original Epson T502 bottles (if they’re empty) thoroughly with distilled water and let them dry completely.

  2. Fill them carefully with your BCH ink using a syringe or funnel.

  3. Use the bottle’s original nozzle to refill your EcoTank printer.

This method lets you get the most out of your BCH ink purchase, even if your original Canon printer is no longer in service.
