Question:
I have an Epson WF-7210 printer, and I've accidentally broken one of the printhead's nipples. Is there a replacement printhead I can order?
Answer:
You can buy a replacement printhead for a new one, but I recommend a different, cheaper and less effort solution. You can do a search on Amazon for wf-7210 printhead and you will find replacement printheads available, very often around $20 and free Prime shipping. But I should warn you, most of these sellers are scammers selling fake printheads. That said, since printheads that come with a good manifold are the ones that are usually rejected during remanufacturing, and since they’re prominent during cleaning during testing, you should be safe enough in this aspect with most of the printheads.
You could buy one of these cheap printheads, and salvage the manifold. The manifold is the component you need for an operable printhead — in many instances, it will already be cleaned. You’ll just have to unscrew the necessary screws and transfer the manifold from the new printhead over to your old printhead. This also means reusing the rest of your printhead rather than having to purchase a whole new one.
If you do not know how to do it, you need to do it slowly, and gently take out the parts so that you do not damage any other parts. You can also check out videos on our YouTube Channel to do this in an easy way.
Print troubles can be a very involved process to troubleshoot based on how hands-on some of the issues can be. We can either fix a printer in its entirety, or address parts of it, and the steps you need to take are spelled out. But we know that we are not the cheapest option. So, we strongly suggest you stick to Self Help through some googling. To do that, you can roam on YouTube to check Or start with our YouTube Channel Search for specific videos using the search icon, which sits next to “About,” on the right-hand side of the menu bar. Dozens of times a day I get a question like, “Do you have a video on topic X? After making videos for nine years now, I no longer remember all of them. So it would be best to use YouTube’s search function. Plus, YouTube may recommend relevant videos from other channels that can help you.
