Question:
After refilling toner cartridges on a Xerox B205, B210, or B215 printer, the machine continues to print a configuration page. How can this function be turned off?
Answer:
For the Xerox B205, B210, and B215 models, the configuration page is often triggered automatically after powering on or after a toner replacement. This is not necessarily an error but rather a default printer setting. Fortunately, there are a couple of ways to turn this feature off:
-
Via the Printer's Control Panel (B205/B215 with display screen):
-
Press the Menu button.
-
Navigate to System Setup.
-
Go to Report Settings (sometimes called "Print Report").
-
Find Configuration Page or Startup Page.
-
Set this option to Off.
-
-
Via Embedded Web Service (EWS):
-
Connect the printer to your network.
-
On your computer, open a web browser and type the printer's IP address into the address bar.
-
Log in with the default admin credentials (often
admin
/1111
, unless changed). -
Navigate to System → Print Report Settings.
-
Disable Configuration Page at Startup.
-
-
For B210 (no display panel):
-
Since the B210 does not have a screen, you must use the Embedded Web Service method above.
-
Alternatively, you can install the Xerox Easy Printer Manager on your computer, which allows you to access these settings from software.
-
If the configuration page continues to print even after disabling it, check whether the printer has stored jobs or an internal "sample print" function enabled. Resetting the printer to factory defaults and then reconfiguring settings may also resolve the issue.

Addressing printer issues can be a complicated affair due to the hands-on nature of the problems. So, we're not able to provide remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or support for printer repairs. We do offer an in-person evaluation and repair service (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service) at our diagnostic facility, but due to high demand, service is on a first-come, first-served basis, and it may take a few weeks. Our repair services cover both complete printers and individual components, with clear instructions provided. However, since our pricing may not be the lowest, we encourage self-help through online resources. A great place to begin is our **YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies)**-use the search icon next to "About" on the menu bar to find targeted videos. Thank you once again for reaching out to us. We truly appreciate your support and hope this helps you get your Xerox printer working without unnecessary configuration pages.
