Customer Question
I’ve replaced the control board on my Procolored F13 Pro printer, but now there’s a single blinking red light indicating an error. I have no way of knowing what the error means. Can BCH Technologies assist with this?
Answer
Diagnosing Blinking Red Light Errors
The Procolored F13 Pro is a DTF printer often built on a modified Epson chassis. Although Procolored printers are third-party customizations, many of the internal diagnostics still rely on Epson’s original firmware. Therefore, when faced with an unknown blinking red light error, your best chance at identifying the issue is by using Epson's Adjustment Program, which is a utility originally intended for Epson technicians but often shared in DTF printer communities.
Here’s how you can get started:
-
Download and Launch the Epson Adjustment Program:
This tool may not be officially available from Epson, but some DTF printer sellers or enthusiast forums share access to it. Please proceed cautiously and ensure that you're downloading from a reputable source. -
Select the Correct USB Port:
When the Adjustment Program launches, choose the USB port that corresponds to your printer from the dropdown list. -
Navigate to “Particular Adjustment Mode”:
From the main interface, click on “Particular Adjustment Mode.” -
Select “Printer Information Check”:
Scroll through the list of diagnostic options and select “Printer Information Check.” -
Click “Check”:
The software will now communicate with the printer and return a list of recent error codes. The most recent one will be displayed as Error Number 1.
How to Interpret the Error Code
Once you have the error code, you can use our BCH Technologies resource for interpretation. Search for "BCH Epson Error" on Google, and it should take you to our page on Triple Secret Epson Error Codes, where we break down common faults. One example could be an APG Sensor Error, which is common after a control board replacement or cable disconnection.
This approach helps pinpoint whether the blinking red light is caused by:
-
A disconnected or damaged sensor cable (e.g., CR Encoder, PF Encoder)
-
Firmware mismatch
-
Mainboard incompatibility
-
Improper reset sequences

Addressing printer issues can be a complicated affair due to the hands-on nature of the problems. So, we're not able to provide remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or support for printer repairs. We offer an in-person evaluation and repair service via our local diagnostic facility (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service). Given the high demand, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. So, it might take a few weeks before we can get your printer to drop it off. Our services are structured to repair either a whole printer or specific parts, with clear instructions on how to proceed. However, we acknowledge that our rates aren't the most economical. Thus, we highly recommend that you resort to self-help via online research. You can start by checking out YouTube or visiting our YouTube channel's homepage (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Look for specific videos using the search icon next to "About" on the right-hand side of the menu bar. I receive dozens of queries every day asking about videos for specific topics. Having created videos over the past nine years, it's challenging to remember every single one. Therefore, using YouTube's search function would be most efficient. Plus, YouTube might suggest relevant videos from other channels that could assist you.
Thanks again for reaching out and for your continued support of BCH Technologies. We hope this information helps you move one step closer to resolving the issue with your Procolored F13 Pro.
