Fixing Paper Feeder Problems on Epson XP-15000 Printers

Question:
Have you encountered problems with the rear feeder on the Epson XP-15000? Despite cleaning the rollers, the printer still can’t pull the film through at the bottom.

Answer:
While I haven’t personally encountered this specific issue with the XP-15000, I am collaborating with other printer professionals who have noted that the paper feed mechanism on this model has a problematic design. Many users report difficulties with the rear feeder, particularly with handling thicker or specialty media like film. My colleague is actively working on modifying the paper handling mechanism to improve performance. Stay tuned to my YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies), where I’ll share updates and potential mods specific to addressing the XP-15000’s paper feeding challenges.

In the meantime, ensure that the rollers are completely clean and free of any debris or residue that might interfere with their grip. You might also try slightly adjusting the angle or feeding method for the media to see if that improves the pull-through. If the issue persists, it may require hardware adjustments or a more permanent modification, which I’ll cover in future content.
