Epson ET-8550 Still Shows a Paper Jam After Replacing the PW Sensor

I purchased and installed a replacement PW paper sensor in my Epson ET-8550, but the printer still displays a paper jam message. Why did replacing the sensor not solve the problem, and what else should I check?

Replacing the PW sensor does not necessarily resolve every paper jam message because the Epson ET-8550 contains several sensors, mechanical switches, encoder components, and paper-feed mechanisms. A paper jam warning is a general symptom. It does not automatically identify the PW sensor as the defective component.

What the PW Sensor Actually Does
