Question:
Can HP 932 and 933 cartridges be refilled before they are empty, and will they still work afterward? Is the BCH refill adapter only for those cartridges?
Answer:
Thank you for contacting BCH Technologies, and I apologize for the delayed reply. Printer interruptions can be urgent, but we want to give you a careful, detailed answer before you refill a cartridge. Thank you for supporting BCH and our YouTube channel.
Yes, an HP 932 or 933 cartridge can generally be refilled before it is completely empty. Keeping ink in the cartridge can help avoid running it dry. However, physically adding ink and the printer accepting the electronic cartridge chip are separate matters. A refill does not reset an ink-level chip or guarantee that the printer will show Full or continue to accept the cartridge. The result depends on whether it is an OEM, remanufactured, or refillable cartridge, its chip, and the printer model. Your question does not report a current rejection or error, so there is no failed component to diagnose.
The BCH AS-REFTIP-SHT adapter is a refill tool listed for HP 932/933 and other cartridge families named on its product page. It is not a chip resetter. Confirm the exact cartridge number and the adapter instructions before using it; the product title alone does not make every cartridge or printer variant identical. Use ink intended for your cartridge, fill slowly, keep colors separate, and do not overfill. Protect the electrical contacts and work over an absorbent surface because a leaking cartridge can contaminate the printer. Do not force the adapter into a port that does not fit.
After refilling, let the cartridge settle as directed by the cartridge-specific guide, clean only exterior spills, and reinstall it. If you see an ink-level warning, do not assume the refill failed; the chip may still report its previous state. If the printer rejects the cartridge, leaks, or produces missing colors, stop and record the exact printer model, cartridge number and type, and on-screen message. That information is needed before suggesting a chip, ink-flow, or printer-side remedy. Repeatedly forcing a leaking or unrecognized cartridge into service risks damage.
