Question:
I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8015e printer. Will the LCD panel designed for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8022, 8025, 8028, and 8035 work with my model?
Answer:
The LCD panel listed for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8022, 8025, 8028, and 8035 is a color touchscreen display. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8015e, on the other hand, typically uses a black-and-white (monochrome) LCD screen. These two panels differ not only in display technology but also in their firmware compatibility, pin layout, and in some cases, physical size and connector type.
Because the 8015e’s internal firmware is designed to communicate with a monochrome display, installing a color LCD panel—even if it physically fits—will most likely result in either no display output or improper functionality. In short, the 8022/8025/8028/8035 LCD panel is not compatible with the 8015e.
If you need to replace the screen on your 8015e, I recommend sourcing a genuine or equivalent monochrome panel explicitly designed for that model. Using the correct display type ensures proper operation and avoids potential firmware errors or boot issues.
