Customer Question:
I'm planning to purchase the TMS pump. Do you have an adapter like the one in your WaterTornado™ kit that works for Epson or Ricoh printheads? Having one compatible with our printheads would be very helpful.

Answer:
Regarding an Adapter for Your Printhead Model:
Currently, we do not offer a WaterTornado adapter designed explicitly for Epson or Ricoh printheads, beyond the commonly supported models (such as the Epson L1800, L805, 1390, 1430, and 1400). The adapter kit you referenced is engineered to work with those particular models and will not be compatible with other printheads without a custom fitting solution.
However, we do offer a workaround for customers with unsupported printhead models. If you have a non-functional or defective printhead for the model you're using, we invite you to send it to us. Here's how this works:
-
We will use your non-working printhead as a sample to design a compatible WaterTornado™ adapter.
-
This process involves fully dismantling and destroying the sample printhead, so do not send in a working or functional one.
-
In exchange, we will create a custom-fit adapter for your model and send it back to you at no additional charge.
-
Please note that the WaterTornado adapter does not include the water pump (TMS unit), which must be purchased separately.
If you're interested in participating in this custom development process, we can provide you with specific mailing instructions and next steps. Unfortunately, due to the nature of disassembly and reverse engineering, we cannot return the sample printhead once it has been used.
This option is also a great way to help the community. Once we’ve developed the adapter for your model, it could eventually become part of our product offerings for other customers facing the same issue.
Addressing printer issues can be a complicated affair due to the hands-on nature of the problems. Therefore, we're unable to provide remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or support for printer repairs. We offer an in-person evaluation and repair service (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service). Given the high demand, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. It may take a few weeks before we can get your printer to drop it off. Our services are structured to repair either a whole printer or specific parts, with clear instructions on how to proceed. However, we acknowledge that our rates aren't the most economical. Thus, we highly recommend that you resort to self-help via online research. You can start by checking out YouTube or visiting our YouTube channel's homepage (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Look for specific videos using the search icon next to "About" on the right-hand side of the menu bar. I receive dozens of queries every day asking about videos for specific topics. Having created videos over the past nine years, it's challenging to remember every single one. Therefore, using YouTube's search function would be most efficient. Plus, YouTube might suggest relevant videos from other channels that could assist you.
Thanks again for your question and your continued support. We’re here to help however we can!
