Question:
I’m using DTF inks and want to know if BCH’s Premium Cleaning Solution for DTF Inks is only for white ink, orcan also be used to clean CMYK DTF ink lines and nozzles?.
Answer:
Our Premium Cleaning Solution for DTF Inks is safe and effective for both white ink and CMYK (color) DTF inks. In fact, it’s one of our most versatile cleaning formulas. While it’s specifically labeled as “max strength against white ink clogs”—because white DTF ink tends to settle, harden, and clog faster than CMYK—it works very well for cleaning any type of DTF ink channel.
You can also use it to flush or soak printheads that have been clogged by regular pigment ink, not just DTF ink. It's gentle on the nozzles but strong enough to break down dried or thickened ink inside the head, tubing, or damper system.
Here are a few tips when using it:
-
For routine maintenance, run a head cleaning cycle using this solution in your ink lines or cleaning cartridge.
-
For heavier clogs, manual soaking or flushing may be required. Disconnect the dampers or remove the printhead and soak with cleaning solution using a syringe or cleaning fixture.
-
Always flush with distilled water afterward if you're planning to immediately switch back to printing, especially for color channels, to prevent cross-contamination.
