Troubleshooting Unresponsive Control Panel After Replacing Main Board on DTF 1390 Printer

Replaced main board on my DTF 1390 and now control panel not working together powering up. The printer turns on, but the control panel never comes alive. How do I fix this, and why is a brand new printer dying on me in the course of three months?
