Refilling HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e Ink Cartridges: How To Refilling and Types of Ink

Question:
I have been using refillable ink cartridges for my Epson WF-3640 for years and now have a new HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e printer using HP 936 ink cartridges. Do you have refillable cartridges for this printer, and how can I order them? I also checked a product called ‘Premium Universal Color Ink Cartridge Refill Kit’ on your website. I want to ask if you can assist me in manually refilling my OEM HP cartridges with the kit. Could you elaborate and give instructions for using this ink?

Answer
I know printer issues are urgent, and once again, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner (I try to provide the most detailed and accurate advice to ensure you are happy).

We do not offer a pre-assembled refillable cartridge kit for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e at BCH Technologies. Most users manually refill the original cartridge by dripping ink through a hole or vent. If you'd find a video more helpful, check out this one: How to Refill HP Cartridges.

We sell transparent cartridge casings, which lets users transplant chips if they want to try refilling and chip replacement. However, we do not supply HP 936 refillable cartridges ourselves. This approach demands more technical expertise and is most commonly employed by advanced users. You can view these casings here and demonstrate how they work in another of our videos: Transplanting Chips for Refill.

With a focus on the ink you should use, we don’t manufacture the ink specific to model proprietary cartridges as the HP 936 unless the type of ink is special. We also create ink for printers like HP, Canon, and Epson. Therefore, you won’t discover HP 936 specific-ink on our site. Conversely, our Premium Dye Ink is compatible with HP printers and supports most HP models. You should know that the HP 936 cartridges initially contained pigment ink, but they could also be restocked with dye ink.

For a comparison of pigment vs. dye inks, we have a guide explaining each type's differences, pros, and cons: Pigment vs. Dye Ink Guide. However, the consensus on dye ink is that it is less likely to clog and usually has a better print quality, especially for general and photo printing.

Before we go any further, let us explain Pigment vs Dye. For example, Nearly all of you must decide between dye and pigment for your use case. Both sorts will work in HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e, but there are significant differences. Pigment ink is generally more durable and less prone to fade, though it needs to be cleaned more often and is subject to wearing out more quickly than dye ink, mainly if used in a printer not meant for it. Dye ink, however, has a broader color range and typically costs less. It is also easier to maintain, as it is more effectively cleaned when complete.

You can also switch between dye and pigment ink, though it’s essential to flush as much old ink out of the system as possible before refilling. If you are changing ink types, a clear base can also be used to help flush the system. This is helpful to avoid clogging and printing smoothly. Read this article for more information on switching ink types: Is It Safe to Switch Ink Types?

What inks do you need for your HP 936 cartridges? When refilling HP 936 cartridges, we suggest you use dye ink for an HP printer that can professionally fit and serve your printer model. Here it is: HP Refill Ink - Dye Ink.

Ink Type Final Thoughts: Dye inks are typically less expensive and easier to deal with. Although pigment inks are longer-lasting, they demand more attention in terms of maintenance and cleaning. For most home or small office printing, dye inks should be perfectly adequate, particularly for everyday use and photo printing. Our full range of dye inks for HP, Canon, and Epson printers can be located here: Dye Ink for HP Printers

Final Note: Fixing printer issues is often complicated, given the hands-on nature of the solutions needed. We can’t provide remote troubleshooting, suggestions, or printer repair support. We also offer in-house diagnostics through Printer Repair Service if you are local to us. Note: We work on a first-come, first-served basis, so earlier printers may be evaluated after a few weeks, depending on demand. The printer or specific parts will be repaired according to the instructions. But our rates are not the cheapest. Thus, we encourage looking at some solutions on the Internet. Our YouTube channel, BCH Technologies, has step-by-step troubleshooting and printer maintenance videos. Just search for content behind the search icon next to “About.” You may also explore the various other helpful videos available from different creators.
Once again, we appreciate your support!
