Question:
I recently got a refill kit for my HP 8035 (using HP 910 and 910XL cartridges). But I couldn’t find a manual for the 910 cartridges on your website. How do I get directions for recharging these cartridges?
Answer:
Thank you for your question! I’m sorry I did not respond to your concern sooner. Printer problems and questions are always timely, and I try to give the most detailed, thoughtful answers possible. At BCH Technologies, we appreciate your listening, and that's why we have and continue to host our YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Your input allows us to improve our services and develop better customer support resources.
We do not have a specific “kit” or manual for the HP 910 and 910XL cartridges since our customers generally prefer a more straightforward way to refill this model. Many instead turn the cartridge upside down and drip ink into the right place rather than using a proper refill kit. This simple and powerful YouTube video (https://youtube.com/watch?v=N7Y1nk-D5cc) provides a step-by-step walkthrough of the method.
Advanced Options
If you’d prefer to have more control over the refilling process we offer transparent casings that would let you transplant chips from your cartridges. This casing is for active users who want to prolong the life and use of their cartridges. The casing is available here (https://tinyurl.com/yc2optw5) and a video of the full tutorial can be found here (https://youtube.com/watch?v=2DJQLUeTBfA).
Choosing the Right Ink
Here is a guide on ink compatibility for your HP 910 and 910XL cartridges:
Standard Approach: We do not produce ink for specific cartridge models unless a cartridge requires special ink. Instead, we manufacture ink for whole brands: HP, Canon, Epson, etc. That is why you don't see an ink listed for the 910 on our site.
Pigment vs. Dye Ink:
- 910 and 910XL Cartridges: These were sold pre-filled with pigment ink. However, if you prefer, they can also be switched to dye ink.
- Compare: Dye ink generally produces brighter colors and is suitable for everyday printing. You can read the full comparison here: https://support.bchtechnologies.com/hc/en-us/articles/200555919-Dye-vs-Pigment-Ink.
Recommended Filling Method
For color cartridges, dye ink is always optimal for best results. If your printer has a large black cartridge, you can choose between pigment and dye ink, whichever works best for you. Small black cartridges in this series should use pigment ink for the best quality.
Printer issues or the process of cartridge refilling can be challenging to explain or troubleshoot since it is such a hands-on endeavor. Due to how complex printers are, we cannot provide remote backup or private assistance to help repair or upgrade your printer. That said, we do offer local evaluation and repair services via our in-person diagnostic (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service). These services are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and because of demand, there can be a wait.
