If you're encountering issues with the left media lever on your Graphtec Celite 50 not functioning correctly, you're not alone. Many users have reported similar challenges. Fortunately, there are several steps you can take to address this problem and get your device back to optimal performance.
Assessing the Problem
First and foremost, it's essential to diagnose the root cause of the issue. In this case, the left media lever is not responding as expected when adjusted, despite displaying a message prompting correction. This could indicate a mechanical or sensor-related problem within the device.
Checking for Mechanical Obstructions
Begin by inspecting the left media lever for any physical obstructions or damage. Ensure that there are no debris, paper scraps, or foreign objects blocking its movement. Clean the area around the lever thoroughly to eliminate any potential hindrances.
Calibrating the Media Lever
Next, attempt to recalibrate the media lever to ensure proper alignment and functionality. Refer to the user manual or manufacturer's guidelines for specific instructions on how to perform this calibration process. Typically, it involves accessing the device's settings menu and selecting the appropriate calibration option.
Testing and Troubleshooting
After calibrating the media lever, conduct a series of tests to verify its responsiveness and effectiveness. Adjust the lever incrementally and observe whether the device accurately detects and responds to the changes. If the issue persists, proceed to further troubleshooting steps.
Checking Sensor Alignment
In some cases, misalignment of the sensors responsible for detecting the media lever position may be the underlying cause of the problem. Inspect these sensors carefully to ensure they are
properly aligned and free from any obstruction. You may need to adjust their position or clean them to improve their functionality.
Updating Firmware and Software
Another potential solution is to update the firmware and software of your Graphtec Celite 50. Manufacturers often release updates to address known issues and improve device performance. Visit the official Graphtec website or contact their customer support for information on the latest updates and instructions on how to install them.
Seeking Professional Assistance
If you've exhausted all troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, it may be time to seek professional assistance. Contact Graphtec's customer support team or consult a qualified technician familiar with the Celite 50 model. They can provide expert guidance and potentially repair or replace any faulty components.
Addressing issues with the left media lever on your Graphtec Celite 50 requires a systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving. By carefully assessing the problem, performing necessary calibrations, and exploring potential solutions such as firmware updates, you can resolve the issue and restore your device to optimal functionality.

Thanks for your support! That “Close the media setting lever. Left.” error usually comes from the left pinch roller not being in the correct zone. Make sure it’s seated on the grit area and within the marked lines, then firmly re-lower the lever. Also check for dust or scraps blocking the sensor. If it still shows, a reset or a lever microswitch issue might be the cause.
On my Graphtec CE Lite -50 I have calibrated, and I still get the message close the media setting lever. Left. I have followed the up tube on setting fixing the setting but still get the same message. Software has also been updated.
