Q: Can I find a reliable CISS for the Epson XP-15000, especially for DTF printing with dampers, to avoid the flooding issue seen in other systems?
A: We understand the concerns regarding CISS for the Epson XP-15000, as many available systems are not directly compatible, requiring retrofitting that leads to issues like poor ink flow and lack of a white ink management system. These problems arise because 1) they aren't specifically made for printers like the XP-15000, hence the need to modify a 3rd party XP-15000's cartridge, which is designed with sponges rather than dampers. Additionally, the flooding issue often occurs not just because of the CIS itself, but due to the gap between the cartridge and the printhead ink intake. A useful mitigation technique is to add a layer of silicone washer at this junction to prevent ink leakage. You can find these silicone washers at BCH Technologies; 2) The CIS itself isn't optimized for DTF printing, resulting in ink flow issues; 3) The absence of a white ink management system further complicates its usage. At BCH Technologies, we recognize these challenges and are in the process of developing a CISS for the XP-15000 from the ground up, tailored for DTF printing with all necessary features. Due to our busy schedule at the repair shop, our development work is progressing during our off-hours, with an anticipated first model release in May.
