If you own an Epson XP-15000 printer and need to remove its main board for maintenance or repair, you've come to the right place. This blog post provides a comprehensive guide to the main board removal process. Follow the instructions closely and refer to the video below for a visual demonstration.
- Initial Preparations Before you start, visit bchtechnologies.com and search for XP-15000 to access the workflow sheet for the printer model. This sheet provides valuable information about the member board and printhead. Keep the workflow sheet handy as we proceed through the steps.
- Removing the HFR First, remove the paper tray and the duplexer from the printer. Lift the printer cover, and locate a flat screw on the right side. Using a flat screwdriver, loosen the screw (do not remove it), and lift the housing straight up.
- Detaching the HFU The HFU is a long upper housing strip. Locate one black screw on the left and another on the right. Remove these screws to detach the HFU.
- Taking Off the Left Housing Since the main board is on the left side, the left housing must be removed. At the back of the printer, locate a screw at the top and another at the bottom. Remove both screws, then slide the left housing off.
- Removing the L-Shaped Housing (Front Left) This L-shaped housing is attached with two screws, one at the left bottom and another at the top. Remove these screws, but leave the cables connected. Allow the cover to hang in place.
- Adjusting the RGF Although the entire RGF bar can be removed, you only need to release one screw if you're working on the left side.
- Documenting the Cables and Wires Using your cell phone, take pictures of all the cables and wires, noting how they were connected. This will help you remember how to put them back later. If you have difficulty reconnecting the wires, consult the workflow sheet.
- Unscrewing the Main Board There are three screws at the bottom and three hard-to-find screws securing the main board. Locate and remove these screws, taking care not to damage any components.
