If you're tired of constantly replacing your ink cartridges and spending a fortune on printer ink, a continuous ink system (CIS) might be the solution you're looking for. A CIS is a system that allows you to refill your printer's ink tanks instead of replacing the cartridges. This can save you a lot of money in the long run and also reduce the amount of plastic waste generated by disposable cartridges.
In this article, we'll show you how to install a continuous ink system on your Canon TS6320 printer. We'll provide step-by-step instructions and helpful tips to make the process as smooth as possible. Before we begin, make sure you have all the necessary tools and equipment, including the CIS kit, a drill, and some double-sided tape.
Step 1: Install the Ink Tanks
The first step is to install the ink tanks that came with your CIS kit. You'll need to remove the original ink cartridges from your printer and replace them with the CIS ink tanks. Follow the instructions that came with your kit to install the tanks correctly.
Step 2: Install the Tubes
Next, you'll need to install the tubes that connect the ink tanks to the printer. Cut the tubes to the appropriate length, depending on your printer's configuration. The tubes should reach both ends of the printer and be long enough to allow the ink to flow freely.
To install the tubes, remove the print head from your printer and feed the tubes underneath it. Use some double-sided tape to secure the tubes to the bottom of the printer. Lubricate the top of the tubes with some grease or oil to help the ink flow smoothly.
Step 3: Split the Black Ink
The Canon TS6320 printer only has one black ink tank, but the CIS kit comes with two black ink tanks. To use both tanks, you'll need to split the black ink line into two lines. This can be done using a splitter, which should be included in your CIS kit.
Use a drill to make a hole in the original OEM cartridge refill hole. The hole may be a little smaller than the splitter elbow, so you'll need to enlarge it slightly. Once the hole is big enough, insert the splitter elbow and connect the two black ink lines.
Step 4: Test the System
Once you've installed the CIS and connected all the tubes and ink lines, it's time to test the system. Print a test page to make sure the ink is flowing correctly and that the printer is working as it should. If everything looks good, you're ready to start printing with your new continuous ink system!
Installing a continuous ink system on your Canon TS6320 printer can be a bit tricky, but with our step-by-step guide, you should be able to do it with ease. Just remember to take your time and follow the instructions carefully.
