Today, I'm going to show you how to unclog the HP 910, 920, 564, 934 and 935 printheads. I have probably unclogged a couple hundred of those printers so far. This video is based on the experience I have with those printers. Those printers are usually really dry. They don't have a cartridge for months. If I can unclog this, you'll unclog yours. No problem. I'll just grab this random one. It doesn't have a cartridge on it for a long, long, long time.
The black isn't that bad, but then all the colors, they're dried solid. I just put a new cartridge on it and do a test. HP has a different level of cleanings. The first time you run the cleaning, it doesn't do much, but enough cleaning, it's going to spit out a piece of paper and show you the result. As you can see, the black is not that bad, but it's still clogged. There's no color. All the colors are dry and clogged. Back home, you should do more head cleanings before you buy anything, but because we know the history of this printer has been in the dumpster, has been under the sun for a long while, we know the built-in cleaning is not going to solve the problem.
We go to bchtechnologies.com and go to Accessories and Anti-Clogging Agent. We need this tool, the flush tool. However, it's cheaper for us to go to the second page. It has a flush tool with a red cleaning solution. There are three levels of cleaning solution. There is a green one, and then there's a red one. The red one has the maximum strength. If you want to use a green one back home, that's fine, but again, this printer is heavily, heavily clogged. Today, we're going to use the combination of the red cleaning solution plus the cleaning tool.
We're going to get a little container and add some cleaning solutions to it. Then we suck some solution into the syringe. For the bigger one, you only need to fill 1/3 or 1/4 of the syringe. Now, I'm going to take out all the cartridges. Let's make a diaper for the printer. Get a paper towel, fold it in half, then fold it 1/3. Now, just tuck it underneath the printhead. Oh, yes. Cut the power off before you do this. Your left hand should push down the tip evenly. Have even pressure. If you don't have even pressure, you're going to see the juice come out all around it. This piece of the black washer is a sandwich between your tip and the base. Not only do you need to stop the leaking from the top, but you also need to stop the leaking from the bottom. To do this, you need to have even pressure.
Now, I'm going to switch to the smaller tip and do the rest of the colors. Remember, your goal is to put those red cleaning solutions inside the printhead and leave them there. Your goal is not to flush everything out of the system. Now, the printhead is filled with cleaning solutions. We just put the cartridge back, close the cover, and leave it overnight or for 12 hours. Twelve hours later, don't forget to take the diaper out before you plug-in power.
Now, the printhead is filled with cleaning solutions, but the cartridge is filled with ink. We just use the printer's built-in function to do the cleaning. That will suck out the cleaning solutions. You can see the color's back. That's not bad, but the magenta has a white stripe in the middle. We will go to the second level of cleaning. Just click "Clean Again." Here's our first cleaning. The following two is our second cleaning, or we call it the first cleaning after the flushing. You can see the black is unclogged. It's a little bit fuzzy because you're changing the ink types. The color's back, but they have a white stripe.
This is the third one. The third one compared to the second one, you can see the white strip is gone, but the magenta, where it didn't have a stripe before, now has a stripe. That's because you run out of magenta ink. This is the quickest way to add ink to your cartridge. Now, you can see the magenta is solid but have a few stripes. At this stage, do not clean anymore. Do not clean the next level. Just leave it like that. Leave it for a couple of hours and come back. It's going to be perfect. If you still have problems, you probably want to repeat the whole thing one more time before you throw the printer in your garbage.
Oh. By the way, the black looks a little bit fuzzy because I'm not using the actual ink. I'm using ink combined with a water solution. After I unclog it, I can sell it. That's why the black looks a bit fuzzy.
