Epson WF-3720 Error E-10 E-11 - A printer's ink pad is at the end of its service life

Today we’re going to discuss how to fix the Epson WF-3720 E-10 E-11 error, which signals that a printer’s ink pad is at the end of its service life. There are two basic steps you need to follow in the process of resolving this. So let’s jump right in and get started!

1. Getting Rid of the Error Window

If you don’t want to buy a kit, you can use whatever materials you have around the house. A mason or other glass jar from the kitchen should do the trick for your waste tank. You will also need some kind of connector to connect your original Epson tube to an external line that will transmit the ink to the jar.

You should see a black screw on the back of the printer. Just unscrew it, and then you’ll see another screw inside. Unscrew that one, and then you can remove the waste pad. Looking inside, you will see a black tube—this is where the ink comes out. The dual connector sold by BCH Technologies can connect to a 25-millimeter tube on one end and a 35-millimeter line on the other.

Epson’s tube is 25mm, so attach it to the right end of the connector. The idea is to have the waste tank outside of the printer, allowing you to monitor ink levels and dump the tank as needed. Cut the tube to length and velcro or tape the bottle to the side of the printer.

However, you can still place the bottle inside the printer if you prefer. Just keep in mind that you’ll have an open bottle inside the printer so that it can be easily knocked over and spilled in the device. Once you’ve set up the waste tank to your liking, turn the printer on. Do some cleaning up, and you’re good to go.
