Epson WF-3720 Error E-10 E-11 - A printer's ink pad is at the end of its service life

Today we’re going to discuss how to fix the Epson WF-3720 E-10 E-11 error, which signals that a printer’s ink pad is at the end of its service life. There are two basic steps you need to follow in the process of resolving this. So let’s jump right in and get started!

1. Getting Rid of the Error Window

The first thing we need to do is get rid of the error. To do so, visit inkchip.net and click on the “WIC” tab. You can purchase one key for $9.99, a pack of three for $6.99 each, or five for $5.99 each. This is a great structure, because if you’re looking to buy keys in bulk, you can save money with these bundles Before purchasing, scroll down the list of supported printers and make sure that your model is listed. Today, we will be working with the Epson 3720 model for this blog.

Once you’ve checked your printer’s compatibility, click the “buy” button. Scroll down on the next screen and add the WIC key to your cart. From here, you can check out. You should receive the key in your inbox immediately upon purchase, but if there is a delay, be sure to check your spam folder.

When you get your key, return to the “WIC” tab and select your language for the download, which should appear in your downloads folder. You may get a popup telling you that “Windows protected your PC,” preventing you from opening the download. If this happens, click “more info” and then “run anyway.”

When opening your download, click the “waste ink counters” button. Hit it to read the waste ink counters, and if you get an error, you will receive a high percentage. Now click on “reset waste ink counters” and paste the key you purchased from INKCHIP, then restart your printer.

Once your printer boots back up, click on the “read waste ink counters” button again. If everything worked correctly, your counter for each should read 0.00%, eliminating the error.

2. Installing a Physical Waste Tank

Now, we’re going to install a physical waste tank to prevent the ink from flowing into the waste pad. One of the ways you can do this is by purchasing a waste ink collection tank kit from BCH Technologies.

If you don’t want to buy a kit, you can use whatever materials you have around the house. A mason or other glass jar from the kitchen should do the trick for your waste tank. You will also need some kind of connector to connect your original Epson tube to an external line that will transmit the ink to the jar.

You should see a black screw on the back of the printer. Just unscrew it, and then you’ll see another screw inside. Unscrew that one, and then you can remove the waste pad. Looking inside, you will see a black tube—this is where the ink comes out. The dual connector sold by BCH Technologies can connect to a 25-millimeter tube on one end and a 35-millimeter line on the other.

Epson’s tube is 25mm, so attach it to the right end of the connector. The idea is to have the waste tank outside of the printer, allowing you to monitor ink levels and dump the tank as needed. Cut the tube to length and velcro or tape the bottle to the side of the printer.

However, you can still place the bottle inside the printer if you prefer. Just keep in mind that you’ll have an open bottle inside the printer so that it can be easily knocked over and spilled in the device. Once you’ve set up the waste tank to your liking, turn the printer on. Do some cleaning up, and you’re good to go.
