Yink Studio is an innovative DTF RIP software designed for a wide range of printing systems, from compact A4 printers to larger A3 desktop machines and custom-size DTF platforms. It supports traditional multi-channel DTF configurations as well as Y4CT™ — Yink Four-Channel Technology, which enables compatible four-channel printers to produce full-color DTF transfers with a white underbase.

Jointly designed and tested by Biao Yi and Kevin Day, and solely developed by Biao Yi — the “Y” in Yink! — Yink Studio combines software engineering, printer design, repair expertise, and real-world garment production experience. Biao Yi is an electrical and software engineer who has contributed to the development of many well-known DTF printer systems. Kevin Day is a printer repair specialist, a YouTube creator with more than 65,000 subscribers, an experienced garment printer with more than 10,000 shirts produced, and holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Your Yink Studio plan is determined by the maximum media size you need to print, not by the number of ink channels in your printer.

Y4CT™ — Yink Four-Channel Technology

Y4CT™ is Yink Studio’s four-channel DTF solution for compatible printers that traditionally could not print white ink.

A traditional four-channel printer normally uses:

Cyan + Magenta + Yellow + Black

With a supported Y4CT™ conversion, the channels are configured as:

Cyan + Magenta + Yellow + White

Yink Studio generates composite black from cyan, magenta, and yellow, allowing the original black channel to be used for white ink.

Y4CT™ can be used with supported A4 or A3 printers. The Yink Studio license required is determined by the printer’s maximum print size, not by its four-channel configuration.

Perpetual License

A perpetual license allows you to continue using the purchased version of Yink Studio without a monthly or annual subscription.

The perpetual license includes:

• Permanent use of the purchased major version

• Bug fixes for that version

• Minor-version updates

• Included supported printer profiles

• No recurring subscription payment

Perpetual License Limitations

A perpetual license remains on the major version purchased and does not automatically include future major releases.

For example, a perpetual license for Yink Studio Version 1 may receive updates such as Version 1.1, 1.2, or 1.3, but it will not automatically upgrade to Version 2.

Future major releases may include:

• Major new features

• Redesigned workflows

• Newly supported printer families

• New color-processing technology

• New operating-system compatibility

• Other significant improvements

A future major-version upgrade may require a separate purchase.

A perpetual license also does not guarantee lifetime compatibility with future Windows versions, printer firmware, printer drivers, or newly released printer models.

Customers who want continuous access to major upgrades and the newest features should choose a monthly or annual subscription.

Printer Profiles and Compatibility

Every printer requires the correct Yink Studio printer profile and ink-channel arrangement.

Compatibility may depend on:

• Exact printer model and region

• Maximum print size

• Printer firmware

• Windows printer driver

• Printhead configuration

• Ink-channel arrangement

• DTF conversion method

• USB connection

• Installed Yink Studio profile

Not every third-party conversion is automatically compatible.

Before Purchasing

Please confirm that:

• Your exact printer model is supported

• You selected the correct plan for the maximum size you need to print

• Your printer has been properly converted for DTF use

• You know the required ink-channel arrangement

• The correct Windows printer driver is installed

• Your printer can already feed film and print correctly

• If using Y4CT™, you understand the characteristics of CMY-generated composite black
