Many standard desktop printers are designed to detect regular paper. When transparent or semi-transparent DTF film is loaded, the printer may:

  • Reject the film

  • Display a paper-out message

  • Refuse to begin printing

  • Feed the film incorrectly

  • Eject the film before printing

  • Stop because the paper-width or media-detection system cannot recognize the film

For supported printer models, BCH Technologies modifies the mainboard or its control signals to help the printer accept DTF film.

The exact modification depends on the printer model and its film-detection system.

DTF Film Feed Mainboard Conversion Service

Important: This Is a Modification Service—No Mainboard Is Included

This listing is not for the purchase of a replacement mainboard.

You must remove the working mainboard from your printer and send it to BCH Technologies. We will modify the board so the printer can accept and feed DTF film more reliably for a DTF conversion. After the modification is completed, we will return the same mainboard to you for reinstallation in your printer.

Mainboard Only

This service is for customers who can:

  1. Remove the mainboard from the printer.

  2. Package it safely.

  3. Ship or drop off the mainboard at BCH Technologies.

  4. Reinstall the modified board after it is returned.

Do not send the complete printer under this listing.

If you send the entire printer, additional diagnostic, disassembly, reassembly, handling, and labor charges may apply.

Supported Printer Models

Please select your printer model from the options above the Add to Cart button.

A complete list of currently supported models will also be provided below.

If your printer model is not listed, email support@bchtechnologies.com before purchasing. Include:

  • The exact printer brand and model

  • A clear photo of the printer label

  • A clear photo of the mainboard

  • A description of what happens when you load DTF film

We may be able to develop or provide a modification for additional models, but compatibility must be confirmed before you send the board.

Your Mainboard Must Be Working

This is a DTF film conversion service, not a mainboard repair service.

The mainboard should be functioning normally before it is sent to us. If the printer currently has errors, does not power on, does not communicate with the computer, does not move the carriage, or has another electronic problem, purchase the appropriate mainboard repair or printer diagnostic service instead.

The conversion will not repair:

  • A no-power condition

  • A damaged printhead circuit

  • Blown fuses or electronic components

  • Firmware corruption

  • Communication errors

  • Motor or sensor failures

  • Existing paper-feed problems

  • Damage caused by ink, liquid, corrosion, or incorrect wiring

If we receive a board that requires repair before it can be modified, we will contact you regarding additional charges.

Important Limitations

This modification helps the supported printer accept or feed DTF film. It does not convert the entire printer into a complete working DTF system.

A complete DTF conversion may also require:

  • A compatible ink-delivery system

  • White-ink circulation or agitation

  • DTF-compatible dampers and tubing

  • Waste-ink modifications

  • Mechanical film-feed changes

  • DTF RIP software

  • Correct printer profiles and print settings

  • Regular maintenance procedures

The modification also does not guarantee that every brand, thickness, size, or finish of DTF film will feed identically. Film quality, static electricity, curl, humidity, loading technique, rollers, sensors, and the printer’s mechanical condition can all affect feeding.

No Guarantee Against Installation Damage

Modern printer mainboards and printheads can be damaged by:

  • Installing cables backward

  • Misaligning an FFC cable

  • Connecting or disconnecting parts while power is present

  • Ink or cleaning fluid on electronic components

  • Damaged cable contacts

  • Shorted printhead circuits

  • Incorrect grounding or static electricity

We are not responsible for damage that occurs after the modified mainboard is returned, including damage caused during installation, wiring, printer conversion, testing, or operation.

Custom and Non-Returnable Service

This is a custom modification performed on a customer-supplied electronic board. Once work has started, the service is noncancelable and nonrefundable.

By purchasing this service, you acknowledge that:

  • You are sending a customer-owned mainboard for modification.

  • No replacement mainboard is included.

  • The board is assumed to be working before arrival.

  • Existing faults may require additional paid repair work.

  • You are responsible for removing and reinstalling the board.

  • Shipping charges are your responsibility.

  • DTF conversion and printer modification involve risk.

  • This service does not guarantee a complete or trouble-free DTF printer conversion.

You can place the supported-model list immediately after the Supported Printer Models heading once you finalize it.
