BCH 4-Point Adjustable DTF Film Platen & Leveling Platform for Epson Printer Conversion

Keep DTF film flatter, more stable, and properly supported as it travels through your converted Epson desktop printer. The BCH Adjustable DTF Film Platen provides a smooth support surface with four independently adjustable leveling points and a built-in bubble level, allowing you to fine-tune the platen height and angle for your individual printer.

Designed for desktop Epson printers converted to DTF, this platen helps reduce problems caused by unsupported or uneven film, including film curling, wrapping, sagging, uneven feeding, and inconsistent printhead-to-film distance.

DTF film behaves very differently from normal printer paper. It is flexible, slippery, and can curl or sag as it passes through a converted desktop printer. Once the factory paper-handling components are modified or removed during a DTF conversion, keeping the film flat and properly supported becomes even more important.

The BCH Adjustable DTF Film Platen is designed to provide that additional support.

The platen installs over the existing output/feed area of a compatible converted Epson desktop printer and creates a more stable surface for DTF film as it moves through the printer.

Unlike a fixed platform, this platen uses four independently adjustable corner legs. Each adjustment point can be turned with a screwdriver, allowing you to raise or lower individual corners of the platen.

A built-in circular bubble level provides immediate visual feedback while making adjustments. Instead of guessing whether the platen is level, you can watch the bubble as you fine-tune the four corners.

This is particularly useful because converted printers are not always perfectly level internally. Printer frames, trays, conversion components, and the workbench itself can introduce small height differences. The adjustable design allows the platen to be tuned to the actual paper path of your printer, rather than assuming every printer is identical.

Why Platen Height Matters

The goal is not simply to make the platen perfectly level relative to the floor. The important measurement is the relationship between the platen, film path, rollers, and printhead.

If the platen is too low, the film may sag.

If one side is lower than the other, the film may travel unevenly.

If the platen is too high, the film may be pushed upward toward the printhead.

The four-point adjustment system allows you to gradually tune the platen until the film travels through the printer smoothly and remains properly supported.

Adjustment

Place the platen into its operating position and check the built-in bubble level.

Use a screwdriver to adjust the four corner leveling screws individually. Make small adjustments and continue checking both the bubble level and the actual DTF film path.

After leveling, manually verify that the film moves freely and that there is adequate clearance between the film and printhead before printing.

Important: The bubble level is an adjustment reference. Final adjustment should always be based on proper film travel and printhead clearance in your specific printer.

This product is intended for modified Epson printers being used for DTF printing. It is not an OEM Epson component and is not intended for ordinary document or photo printing.
