NO RETURN Fire Sale: ET-8550 DIY CIS KevinV1 Units (Black or White Case) – Discontinuing This Product
$150.99 $599.99
Hi folks! Kevin here,
As many of you know, I'm currently developing the KevinV2 DTF printer based on the ET-8550 platform.
I’ve finalized and tested all the other components of the KevinV2 system, and I’ve already started filming the build series. Everything else is dialed in and working well. The only part still under redesign is the long-term CIS layout.
However, I still have a large inventory of our Version 1 ink tank systems on the shelf, and I don’t want to hold up the entire KevinV2 project just because I’m refining the aesthetics of some ink tanks.
So instead of delaying the series, I’m going to use up these Version 1 tanks in the KevinV2 builds while offering them at fire-sale pricing.
Please understand what this system is:
This is a hardware foundation - not a complete plug-and-play kit.
Included:
• Outer case (comes in either black or white - NO color choice) You are going to throw away the case for KevinV2 anyway.
• White ink tank with built-in 24V mixer
• 24V white ink circulation pump
• KCMY tanks
• WT: Waste tank (will be used as water or maintenance tank)
Tubes coming out (short tubes, will need other tubes to connect to):
• 2 W white ink tubes (in and out)
• 4 KCMY tubes
• 1 WT waste/water tube
Important:
- All tubes are plain C3 tubing.
- All tube are short, need to be extended to work on a printer
- No connectors are included.
- These systems use C3 connectors (you must source your own).
- No installation tools are included.
This is best suited for:
- Advanced DIY builders
- Customers following the KevinV2 video series
- Those comfortable sourcing their own C3 fittings
- Anyone wanting discounted tanks, pumps, or spare parts
This Version 1 design works - I'm just moving toward refining Version 2. Rather than scrap these, I'd rather see them used in real builds.
Once this inventory is gone, we will move forward with a new system design.
If you're building along with the KevinV2 series, this is a good opportunity to grab the core tank system at clearance pricing.
Thanks for your continued support,
Kevin

I purchased this product and messed it up first time. I somehow got superglue onto the main circuit board on the colour cartridge and for some reason (not sure how) I messed up the black one too. I repurchased the product (x2). I tried again with the colour one first (which is meant to be the most difficult). I was careful to wrap the circuit board and print head in cling film and taped it down on top. I was careful with the superglue and let it dry upside down for 24 hours so that if the glue leaked anywhere it wouldn't go towards the circuit board. It works great. I now have a functioning refillable colour cartridge. I am glad I got the hardest one out of the way first. I will shortly try the black one. But fantastic that overall, I know this product will save me a fortune in printing now. The colour one is obviously the hardest and it works! Good job guys. (I am from the UK which is why we spell colour with a u lol).
