Question:
Hey Kevin! How would the steps be to resolve Epson ET-4700 printer error 034004?
Answer:
Error code 034004 on your Epson ET-4700 means an "insoluble paper jam error." This error usually happens when the printhead carriage can't move to where it should go. This may be due to any of the following causes:
- Something is blocking the carriage, like foreign objects (i.e., paper, clips, debris)
- Primary Frame deformation where this could lead to carriage misalignment.
- Change Lever Failure (part of printer paper feed mechanism)
- A paper jam that wouldn't necessarily be immediately visible or entirely cleared.
To fix this, Switch off the printer, open the access panel, and check for any blockage. Remove any debris/paper that comes free when pulling gently while carefully not damaging any components. Then, please verify that the printhead can quickly move (with the printer off) along its track. If the error lasts and there is a mechanical failure, then it may be a change lever, a deformation of the frame that needs to be repaired by professionals, or a change of the part.
Solving printer issues can be complex because troubleshooting can require extensive hands-on work. However, we do not offer remote support for repairs. Our local diagnostic facility (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service) offers in-person evaluations and repairs, but they are first come, first served, and it could take several weeks before we even look at your printer.
