Question: I followed the chipless conversion process to the letter, and everything worked, but my computer isn't showing on the activation dropdown list. What should I do?
Answer:
There are potential problems with checking if your machine is not showing up in the activation dropdown list while you go through the chipless conversion process. Make sure the Epson driver is correctly installed on your computer. Without it, it may not recognize the following printer, so it doesn't appear on the list. A second discrepancy is how many Epson printers have been connected to your computer during its life. Every time you connect an Epson printer, it gives it a new port number. If your computer has over 16 ports, it can lead to conflicts that can stop the current printer from being shown. In that case, you must remove the unused or expired printer ports from your system settings. Finally, antivirus software can be known to block the port that the printer uses so that it may interfere with its detection. This can be fixed by temporarily turning off your antivirus or adding the printer's port as an exception.
Printer issues can be tricky to fix due to their hands-on nature. Thus, we cannot offer remote troubleshooting, advice, or assistance on printer repairs. We do in-house assessment and repair, which could be done at our local diagnosis center https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service that works on a first-come, first-serve basis because of high demand. So, it may take us a few weeks to get your printer to drop it off. We offer printer repair plans that allow you to fix an entire printer or specific components and provide guidance for each. However, we also recognize that our rates are not the most cost-effective. Hence, we strongly suggest you fall back on self-help through online search.
To begin with, visit our YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies and check out what you can find on our YouTube channel homepage, or try finding specific videos with the search icon on the top right of the menu bar next to "About." Every day, I get dozens of inquiries about videos on different topics. I have made videos over the past nine years, so it is hard to recall every single one. So you can get the most out of YouTube's search function. Plus, YouTube may find relevant videos from other channels that can help you.
