Question:
Why must I remove the sides and bottoms when waterproofing the XP-15000? Will you make a video on how to put it on an EcoTank to save ink?
Answer:
In this case, the sides and bottom of the printhead should be removed during waterproofing to cover the sealant fully. All areas need to be fully sealed to prevent ink leaks and protect sensitive components, such as electrical contacts, from moisture damage. If you cannot remove these components, you may not touch everything you need to waterproof, which will blatantly void the waterproofing efforts.
We have no specific video on making an EcoTank into an Epson XP-15000 to save on ink. A big caveat, though: many of our videos cover delivery system changes that could help with this. We suggest looking at our CISS videos, as the process may be similar to what you want to achieve. Our YouTube channel has innumerable bulk ink systems content, and browsing through it can yield a tip or two for this conversion.
Printer problems can be tricky to troubleshoot because they require hands-on work. We do not offer remote troubleshooting but provide on-site evaluation in our diagnostic lab.
