Fixing Ink Flow Issues on the Epson ET-8550 After Cleaning Build-Up

Question:
I did all the steps to clean up the build-up ink on my Epson ET-8550, but now no ink is coming out. How can I prime my cartridges on this printer?

Answer:

So to prime your cartridges of the Epson ET-8550 post cleaning the ink build up, you'll guide and manage the printhead's positioning in addition to ink flow. Step one: Powered up the printer and allowed the printhead to home to the capping station. You can do this safely whilst the printer is turned on. Compared to standard ink, DTF ink is thicker in viscosity and may require a boost to hit the ground running.

Using a syringe and a tube attached to the waste line means qhen the printhead gets parked. Take in about 1.5 ml of air first. If you draw only air, that means that either the printhead is not parked properly, or that the capping station seal is leaking. If, on the other hand, you had full resistance and nothing could come up, you might have a clog at the capping station, which would also make it impossible to prime the printhead. When you hear the crinkling of the membrane on the damper, that's the nozzles opening. Re-draw up to 2 ml and hold the syringe for 10 seconds. Then, you can run a standard cleaning cycle, but do not do multiple cleaning cycles back-to-back without allowing the printer to rest for at least 12 hours.
