Question:
The flow from my full tubs (I followed all the steps from your videos about clearing the tubes and priming the dampers, and I could get a good flow from the full tanks to the dampers with a syringe) is still insufficient to get my printer to print. I did that two more times, then opened the cover and had it running again slowly, and now, it is printing color pages again. What would be a way to prevent this from happening in the future, and how can I improve the print quality?
Answer:
As for your problem with the clogged tubes and dampers issue, it's good to hear you've made some progress, but it sounds like your printer still needs additional servicing to achieve consistent, usable performance. So, according to what you told me about your cleaning process, here is my suggested schedule:
Day One:
- Run the cleaning function three times until the nozzle check indicates no problems.
- Switch off the printer for at least 10 mins.
- Repeat the cleaning process twice or thrice until the nozzle check is satisfactory.
- If the nozzle check is still imperfect, wait for 12 hours and repeat.
Day Two:
- Repeat the cleaning function three times or until your nozzle check is acceptable.
- Just turn off the printer for a minimum of 10 minutes.
- Repeat the cleaning function two or three times or until the nozzle check is perfect.
- If the nozzle check still isn't perfect, please get in touch with us.
One or two nozzle gaps in the nozzle check are acceptable; however, to achieve a good-quality print, there should be no gaps in any parts of the nozzle check. If possible, regular use of the printer—printing at least one page per day, even a test page—can help prevent clogs down the road. If clogs reoccur, repeat cleaning once again until resolved.
The nature of printer problems makes addressing them a complicated affair. Thus, we cannot offer the printer remote diagnostics, recommendations, or repairs. If you need an in-person evaluation and repair service, we have a local diagnostic facility (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service) available for you; however, due to very high demand, we are operating on a first-come, first-served basis. It might be a few weeks before we can send your printer so we can drop it off. We have our services to fix your entire printer or certain parts of it so you know how to move forward. But we also understand our rates aren't the most affordable. Therefore, we strongly recommend you do self-help by searching online.
You can go to YouTube or go to the homepage of our YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies); next to "About" on the right side of the menu bar, you can find the specific video through the search icon. Daily, I get dozens of inquiries asking about videos on particular topics. As someone making videos for the last nine years, I find it hard to remember them all. So, the best bet would be to use a YouTube search. In addition, YouTube may recommend relevant videos from other channels that could help.
