Epson ET-8550 Paper Sensor Location and Replacement Guide

Question:
I have been watching your videos and trying to find the paper sensor in my Epson ET-8550. I see the one you'd have under the printhead, but I suspect another somewhere detects the paper. Can you point me in the right direction so I can clean or change this?

Answer:
This step has two important sensors associated with paper detection features, in our case, to be performed with the Epson ET-8550. The first is located beneath the printhead. The second is a paper-width sensor that detects the capability of forces. The second, and the one you may be interested in, is the paper eject (PE) sensor, located in the middle of the rail beneath the paper guide. Remove the mid-guide paper to access the PE sensor. From the back, you can clean or change it as needed.
When this sensor is dirty or malfunctioning, it can cause problems with feeding paper. Simply cleaning it with a soft cloth and a bit of alcohol can often fix problems, but a replacement may be required if it still doesn't work correctly.
