Question:
I need the J26H006.B05 Wi-Fi card with vertical pins for my Epson ET-3850. However, I can only find the J26H006.B05 with horizontal pins on your website, such as the 4-Pin Horizontal Epson WiFi J26H006 GP 11n+BT Combo Wireless LAN MINI [https://bchtechnologies.com/search?type=product&collection=all&q=J26H006]. Do you carry or can you source the J26H006.B05 with vertical pins? Additionally, I noticed that you sell the J26H006.B04 with vertical pins. Would this be a suitable replacement for the B05 version?
Answer:
Epson ET-3850 Wi-Fi Card — What You Need
Purchase models that are on this BCH Technologies J26H006 Search [https://bchtechnologies.com/search?type=product&collection=all&q=J26H006]. This will show the vertical and horizontal pin versions we currently stock.
We may not currently have the J26H006. Although our stock is constantly changing, B05 has vertical pins. If you don’t find it, please try again later or contact us directly to check availability.
Can the J26H006. B04 (Vertical Pins) replaces the J26H006 B05?
The J26H006. B04 and J26H006. B05 Wi-Fi13 cards have similar architecture, though (at least for the wireless module) they are not necessarily interchangeable. While vertical pins are present on the B04 version, comparatives for both models may be:
Firmware Compatibility – Due to firmware restrictions, certain printer models only support specific Wi-Fi cards.
Pin Layout Differences—While both versions use vertical pin types, slight differences in pin arrangement or power requirement can lead to incompatibility.
Chipset Differences – The internal chipset can vary and impact wireless capability and connectivity to your printer’s mainboard.
We highly recommend consulting your printer’s service manual or comparing the specs of both cards before swapping to see if they are compatible. If your printer registers the B04, then use the exact B05 vertical pin version.
