1. Turn Off the Printer
2. Look for Blocks: Lift the printer lid and scrutinize the carriage path. Check for paper jams, debris, or other objects blocking the carriage’s path.
3. Manually Move the Carriage: Gently push the carriage manually. If it seems stuck, check the area surrounding the printhead assembly and carriage rails for blockages or resistance.
4. Inspect the Carriage Belt and Motor: Inspect the carriage belt for signs of wear, misalignment, or other damage. Check that the belt is not worn frayed or overlooked in the pulleys. Worn or misaligned belts are often an indication that they need replacement.
