Color Printing Issues: Nozzle Check Shows No Color

Question:
No color is printed during maintainer cleaning, alignments, or nozzle checks. My printer prints only black with a bit of yellow in the middle and sides.
Answer:
If your printer prints black with a hint of yellow but doesn't output any other colors wduringa cleaning cycle, alignment, or nozzle checks, ihe mainboard or the FFC cables are aunlikely to be t fault, as black and some yellow are printed. Instead, the issue is probably your nozzles in the printhead or the ink supply to the dampers.
This is a common problem, commonly caused by clogged nozzles. Dried ink or debris can build up over time, clogging the ink's nozzles, mainly if the printer hasn't been used regularly or non-compatible inks have been used. Alternatively, the dampers, which control ink flow to the printhead, may not contain sufficient ink. This sometimes occurs if the air in the ink lines or the ink supply device malfunctions. To resolve this:
- Perform multiple cleaning cycles in your printer's maintenance settings. This can help remove any minor blockages.
- Make sure that your cartridges have ink and are correctly seated.
- Check the dampers and ink lines for air bubbles or blockages. If the dampers look empty or half-full, consider refilling or replacing them.
- If that doesn't work, perform a deep cleaning or use a printhead cleaning solution specific to your printer model.
A lot of hands-on work can be involved in printer troubleshooting, making it a complex issue. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our customers. Due to current guidelines, we cannot offer remote troubleshooting or support for printer repairs. We have a local diagnostic department (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service) that services in-person evaluation and repairs, but due to the high volume of requests, it could take a couple of weeks to have your printer scheduled for drop-off. We offer services that repair the entire printer or specific components and provide detailed instructions. Although we are not the cheapest, we invite you to take advantage of self-help options. Your first step could be searching on the homepage of our YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies); you can use the search function (besides the "About" tab) to search within the channel for what you are looking for; this is usually faster than browsing through all of our available videos.
