CISS systems supply a continuous flow of ink to the printer without the need of changing cartridges. Most CISS systems are price-prohibitive. This DIY kit is a fraction of the cost of ready-made ones. The kit comes with an instruction manual with examples of HP Cartridge 21, 27, 56, 22, 28, 57, 58, 59, 75, and 95. However, the kit is very versatile and compatible with Canon and many more brands/models. The 2nd generation kit has a built-in damper. Ink backflow has been a problem for Continuous Ink Supply System (CISS) for a long time. Daily temperature fluctuation creates air bubbles which push ink back into external reservoirs. Once air bubbles are pushed into the supply tube, it alters the ink pressure and creating a cascade of events and stops CISS from working. Ink flow damper was designed to eliminate the ink backflow using technologies used on commercial large-format printers. So far, the DIY kit has been tested (in our lab) on HP21/22/27/28/56/57/121/129/130/131/132/134/135/136/138/140/141 Canon PG40, CL41, CL51, The unit is NOT FILLED. IT IS SHIPPED EMPTY.
