Solving Epson WF-7720 Reboot Issues: When Service Mode Isn't an Option

Question:
I have an Epson WF-7720 that I am attempting to place into service mode for a firmware update but am unable to. The printer continues to display the Epson logo line with blue line, reboots and does the same thing over and over. I can’t even get to the regular menu. Do you have any suggestions?
Answer:
It sounds like the problem with your Epson WF-7720 is that it is in a boot loop, so the normal menu, as well as the service mode, cannot be reached. So, when the printer fails to initialize or access its firmware, that means there's some serious machine-level issues that requires professional repair. It can be firmware corruption, memory failure, or even some hardware failure in the mainboard.
If you’ve tried a firmware recovery and the printer continues to reboot, your best solution is to have it diagnosed professionally. If you can put your printer into service mode, you should be able to do advanced troubleshooting around firmware updates or resets, but you won’t be accessing it from your printer in its current state.
A Note on Printer Repairs
Solving printer issues can be complicated due to their physical nature. We cannot do remote issues, advise, or troubleshooting for repairs on printers. On the other hand, we do provide in-person evaluation and repair service through our local diagnostic facility (https://bchtechnologies.com/printer-repair-service) and with the volume of inquiry, we run that on a first-come, first-serve basis with possibly a week or two before you'd be able to drop your printer off.
We offer complete or partial printer repair services and straightforward process instructions. Our rates might be slightly in the premium range but do feel free to check out our home page on youtube (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies) under the search option on the home page to see if you could find some of your answers in self-help or check out other items that might help you!
