Question:
In one of your YouTube videos, I see that the film roll is raised and placed behind a possible DTG PRO Model J printer. Can you provide more information about this setup?
Answer:
We appreciate you contacting us with your question and apologize for the delay in responding. Here at BCH Technologies, we know printer problems or technical questions generally need to be addressed immediately and as thoroughly as possible. We greatly appreciate your help and support, particularly your engagement with our YouTube channel, BCH Technologies (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). Your feedback enables our team to hone our expertise further and deliver better assistance for you.
To respond to your observation in the video,o here’s the lowdown:
In one case, the customer supplied a DTG PRO Model J printer but left out the roller that goes with it. To bypass this, we 3D-printed our roller and added it directly behind the printer to be along the same axis level as the printer bed. So they just did a patch, and now it works without the missing roller.
You may also have seen another print unit with a different setup. This wasn’t a Model J printer but an in-house mod we came up with. For this, we put a roller at a higher position after the printer. This custom configuration was created to enhance the workflow of that specific modification further and is not a feature of the original Model J design.
Troubleshooting a printer is often technical and hands-on. We cannot troubleshoot remotely, nor can we repair your printer. We offer an in-person diagnostic and repair service through our local diagnostic center.
There is a high demand for this service, so it could take several weeks to process your printer for evaluation. We run on a first-come, first-served basis. If you require printer repair or even just parts, we have some specific steps that can get you going.
We understand that our rates may not be suitable for the most cost-sensitive customers. If you want to troubleshoot independently, we strongly encourage you to start with the online resources. You can search for specific topics using the magnifying glass icon near the “About” section of our YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies). YouTube’s algorithm might also recommend helpful videos from creators that match your query.
Once again, thank you for your inquiry and continued support of BCH Technologies. We wish you the best, and we are with you all the way!
