Troubleshooting the Artisan 1430: Ink Cartridge Not Recognized

Question:

I have an Artisan 1430 printer, which I use to make my screen printing film films. Currently, the printer is not printing because there is a light on that tells me it has met some condition with yellow ink cartridge. I replaced the cartridge with 2 cartridges that were Genuine but it still does not work. Could you work based on it if I send? Well, if it would help I am willing to pre-pay everything.

Answer: Thanks for contacting us with your printing problem at BCH Technologies. We genuinely appreciate your interaction and support, particularly via our YouTube channel BCH Technologies on YouTube at youtube.com/@bchtechnologies. Your feedback has been instrumental in assisting us in advancing our technical proficiency.

Based on the provided information and your attached high-resolution image that reflects your professionalism from a sharp, well-exposed picture, the issue seems to be a broken pin at the slot in the printer ink cartridge. I zoomed in and added a red arrow near the failed pin.

This fault causes your Artisan 1430 printer not to recognize the yellow ink cartridge, even though you’ve replaced it with two genuine cartridges. To fix this, order the broken pin. Luckily, BCH Technologies offers a product, and you can get replacement pin for specifically this problem; you can purchase it here : Replacement Winged Epson Cartridge Chip Board CSIC Pins for Artisan https://bchtechnologies.com/one-rare-winged-epson-cartridge-chip-board-csic-pins-9-pin-artisan/. We have an installation video to demonstrate the installation process. Please disregard the board replacement portion of the video. You only need to replace the one broken pin. Once you’ve done that, your printer should be able to print as before.

Printer faults can be rather difficult to diagnose due to the labor-intensive nature of the faults. As such, performing diagnostics is not within our capabilities, and we cannot offer remote diagnostics, recommendations, or service for fault rectification. Instead, we provide an evaluation and repair substitute at our local diagnostic facility at Printer Repair Service. We only attend customers based on the first come first serve. Therefore, it can take a week before we can accept your printer, assuming you want to drop it off or dispatch it. We work on whole printers or subsections. We provide instructions for mail-in or local services. However, our costs are not the most favorable. Thus, we encourage you to search for online videos on your own. You can start on YouTube and visit BCH Technologies YouTube Channel homepage at [https://youtube.com/@bchtechnologies] by clicking the search button next to “About” on the right. Every day, I receive dozens of inquiries for specific video topics “please send me a video on xyz! “after making videos for nine years, it is hard for me to remember all. It is easier if you use the YouTube search function since YouTube suggests relative videos that can help even from other channels. Thank you for contacting us again. I hope you can get your printer back in shape from this information.
