Error code 0E3005 (033005) is an Ink Device Error and is typically displayed at power-on. Usually, this error indicates a problem with the printer's mainboard, specifically the EEPROM chip holding the firmware. During the initialization of the printer, the first thing it verifies is the ink cartridge detection system. The printer stops functioning with the error code 0E3005 and does not check the CSIC (Cartridge Serial Identification Chip) information if there is corruption in the EEPROM.

Possible Causes

1. Firmware Corruption can occur if the printer is interrupted while writing firmware to the EEPROM.
2. Mainboard Malfunction—This error can be invoked by a malfunction in the mainboard's circuitry, possibly a hardware defect.
   
3. A power failure or spike during a firmware update could corrupt the EEPROM.
4. Incompatible Ink Cartridges – Although rarer, using third-party ink cartridges whose firmware data does not match the ones used by the printer can also lead to similar problems.
